About Me
I am a Bengali author and writer. My fiction spans multiple genres — fantasy, crime, western, science fiction, and the supernatural — because I have never seen a good reason to stay in one lane. I believe the best stories are the ones that surprise the writer as much as the reader.
My first novel, আষাঢ়ে গল্প, came out in 2014. Since then I have published few more novels, a short story collection, co-edited a supernatural anthology, and contributed a sci-fi novella to a multi-author collection. I have also worked with multiple authors in different short story collections. The শত্রু series — a Bengali western — is something I am particularly attached to, and there is more of it to come.
Alongside fiction, I write features. My anime column অ্যানিমে-কথন runs in Kishor-Alo, where I have been writing about Japanese animation for several years. I am also a contributor to রহস্য পত্রিকা, one of Bangladesh's oldest monthly magazines. My professional background includes software development, digital advertisement operations, technical writing. Technical writing is much different from fiction writing; it is its own discipline — precise, purposeful, and underrated.
Outside writing: I watch a lot of anime (you will see the evidence on this site), I read fiction in Bengali and English, I play video games when time allows, and I follow more ongoing manga than is probably wise.
This site is my personal record — of what I have been working on or published, what I have read and watched, and what I think about both. It is not trying to be anything else.
